Revelation was originally written to real first-century churches facing persecution, pressure, and compromise. It uses the symbolic language of apocalypse to help them see their circumstances from God's perspective. The goal of this series is therefore not to decode every symbol, construct an end-times timeline, or settle every interpretive debate. It is to ask what Revelation wanted God's people to see, believe, and do.
